Kimberley artist directs arts award prize money to support Wildsight

Kimberley artist Grant Smith is the winner of the 2024 Kootenay Art Prize at Art Gallery Kimberley with his stencil/block print “East Kootenay Small Carnivore Celebration”.

Grant then redirected his prize to support Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook. Robyn Duncan gratefully received the $675 contribution on behalf of Wildisght during a get-together at the gallery.

The 2024 open, adjudicated art exhibition themed “Kootenay Creatures” will be in the gallery until February 25th. Opening hours: Monday through Wednesday, by appointment; Thursday through Sunday, 9:30 - 4:30 pm.
