Art Gallery Kimberley opened another new exhibit this week, which will be available for viewing until April 14.

The exhibit ‘Vessels for Spheres’ features the work of Kimberley sculptor Rob Toller.

Toller works with found objects, being especially drawn to metals. He has gathered quite a collection of found metal objects, from which he creates one-of-a-kind sculptures, which preserve the natural patina of the objects.

He say the long history of mining and forestry in the Kootenays provides plenty of opportunity to gather found objects, as industrial salvage is scattered in many unexpected places.

With this particular exhibit he has incorporated spherical shapes, such as stones and steel balls.

The exhibit welcomes visitors from Thursday to Sunday, 9:30 until 4:30 and from Monday to Wednesday by appointment. Everyone is invited to the closing reception and artist talk on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 3 to 5 pm. For more information and event updates, please visit artgallerykimberley.com or reach out to the gallery at 250-432-9225 or info@artgallerykimberley.com.
