The Kimberley Community Band gave another wonderful performance on the evening of April 5 at The Elks’ Hall. Jeannie MacDonald conducted and introduced the pieces, which included:

Old Time Rock & Roll, Mambo #5, String of Pearls, Abba on Broadway, My Favorite Things, Hawaii Five-O, Tuxedo Junction, Jitterbug, What a Wonderful World, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Blue Tango, It Don’t Mean a Thing, Swing the Mood, Crocodile Rock and the 1961 tune Can’t Help Falling in Love, by Elvis Presley.

Jeannie says: “Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves, including calling for “Mambo #5” as an encore. For Band members to see such joyous dancing was hugely gratifying; we hope to make it an annual event. The funds received will go to the Elks Scholarship fund.”
