Cranbrook Arts

Along with the staple Art and Pottery classes there is a variety of low cost and free community programming including Free Toddler Tues, Free Monthly Family Nights, Afterschool Art Club, Art Night with Mo, and Wed Open Studio.

The exhibition in the Gallery is the “Art in the Park” Residency Program - Artwork created by nine Artists in Glacier National Park in the Summer of 2022, as a part of the Artist Residency program hosted by Parks Canada in partnership with the Revelstoke Public Gallery. March 15 to April 27.

There is lots of new unique artwork by over 30 local artists. Gallery and Gallery Shop hours are 11:00 – 4:00, Wed – Sat.

Black and Rural at Key City Theatre

Black and Rural is a nationally funded artistic inquiry into the hearts and minds of black folks tucked away on Canada’s countryside.

Black & Rural is the story of a lone Black country woman struggling to defy the monolith of what matters to Black lives. Derived from dozens of real-life interviews with Black folk tucked away on the countryside across Canada, Shayna Jones weaves together a story of vulnerability, quiet triumph, and striking humanity.

Harmony Rising - Symphony in the Valley

In the spirit of our ever popular Symphony on the Mountain concerts the SOTK will be hosting a two concert series in July, 2024 including a special outdoor concert at ?AQ’AM in the scenic St. Mary River Valley. Guest artists will include the Numa Ka.kin Drummers with a welcome from Nasuʔkin (Chief) Joe Pierre. As always, with our summer concerts you’ll be entertained with an upbeat program, some familiar and possibly some new to you. Special thanks to PJ Gilhuly, a Ktunaxa artist living in Cranbrook, for the design of our poster.

Senior’s Day at Cranbrook Legion

Every third Wednesday The Cranbrook Legion Branch #24 hosts ‘Senior’s Day at the Legion’. Join ‘Bud’s Friends’ for an hour of Sing-a-long from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A lunch of great sandwiches and yummy sweet treats is provided and served by the ‘Telus Ambassadors’, Come and join us for an hour of fun and lively singing. If you come with a group you should get there early, (shortly after 1pm) to get a good seat. And it’s free.
