Construction is set to begin on the Marysville Business Park this week, the City announced Tuesday, Apr. 16, a project that will enhance the infrastructure along 315 Ave from the Bootleg Gap Golf Course to the 300 block cul-de-sac.

The project will mean traffic disruptions for residents around the construction area. The City asks motorists and pedestrians to pay attention to signage, look for detours and respect crews working on site.

Emergency access for police fire and medical responders will be maintained at all times. Access to Bootleg Gap Golf Course will also be maintained.

The project includes critical upgrades to the water and sewer mains that service industrial land and, according to the City, will, “result in enhanced business development opportunities in the park.”

It has mainly been funded by way of a contribution from the Province’s Regional Economic Diversification and Infrastructure Program, to the tune of $1 million. The Kimberley Land Development Reserve put in the remaining $297,000.

The City expressed its thanks to residents for their cooperation and patients during the construction. If you need any further information you are encouraged to contact the City’s Operations Desk at 250-427-9660.
