Police have released a few new details one year after the body of a 38-year-old Castlegar man was discovered on the highway between Trail and Castlegar.
January 14 marked the one-year anniversary since Jordan Workman’s body was discovered in the trunk of a burnt out Honda Civic on Highway 22, just outside of Genelle.

The crime began to unfold after Kootenay Boundary firefighters responded to the call of a vehicle fire that night at approximately 9 p.m.
The car was abandoned and left ablaze on the side of the road.
Cpl. Dan Moskaluk, South East District NCO, revealed this week in a news release that investigators believe the crime was drug-related and that the burnt out car belonged to Workman.
“Police have confirmed that Workman was in the Castlegar area the evening of Jan. 13,” Moskaluk said.
“RCMP investigators believe Workman was targeted.”
Mounties are looking to speak to anyone who had contact with Workman or saw his silver Honda Civic on Jan. 13, 2018.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Workman or his vehicle during that time is asked to call the police at 1-877-987-8477 or Crime Stoppers.
