It is with deep sorrow that the family of Dorothy Collinson announces her passing on Monday, October 17, 2016 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook at 91 years of age.

Dorothy was born on February 8, 1925 in Webb, SK. When she was 8 years of age, she travelled with her family from Webb to Saskatoon in a covered wagon with their cow, horse, chickens and family pets. The trip took all summer. Dorothy was a hard working woman who enjoyed the simple life. She loved having her family and friends around her.

Dorothy met the love of her life Harold Collinson in Cranbrook at the Bluebird Inn in 1942. They danced so good together they decided to get married in 1943.

Dorothy loved all animals, especially dogs. Dorothy was a “news junky”. Her TV was always on CNN except for Saturday nights when she had a standing date for the Lawrence Welk Show. Dorothy could and would discuss current affairs with everyone.

Mom, Grandma, Dot, we will miss your caring and generous nature. We always knew your support and love was with us. We were blessed to have you in our lives. Rest in Peace Pretty Lady.
