It is with deep sorrow that the family of Jim Leask announces his passing on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 in Cranbrook at 84 years of age.

Jim was born in Cranbrook on April 13, 1932. He lived and

worked in the Kootenays most of his life. He was best known for his mechanic skills and as a truck driver in later years. Dad was a music lover and often could be found sitting listening to music while reading a western book. Dad was an avid fisherman and loved spending his days on Premiere Lake.

Jim was survived by his wife Reta, son Dale (Debra),

daughter Christine Ford (Ron) and son Kenneth, daughter

Loretta Hamilton (Duane Goodwin), daughter Lynn Pommier

(David), 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He

was predeceased by his daughter Margaret-Anne (Susie)

and great grandson Adam Cripps, mother Bertha, father

William, sister Barb and brother Charlie.

A memorial service for Jim will be held at the Wasa

Community Hall on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
