Julia Caroline Collett (nee Lasell)
March 20, 1923 - May 29, 2017
Born in Ribstone, Alberta, Julie married Harry Collett in Kimberley in 1944. They made their home in Chapman
Camp where they raised their four children,
Beverley (Maurice), Richard (Lorraine), Michael and Joan;
and welcomed their grandchildren, Lori Copeman, and Rory,
Darian, Braden, and Colton Greggain. Julie also has 2 greatgrandchildren, Daniel and Kiara Copeman.
Julie was a very special and beloved Mother and Grandma and she always put family before everything. Christmases were particularly wonderful occasions as Julie put the magic into Christmas.
Julie was one of the world’s most generous and giving souls.
Her baking and cooking skills were especially enjoyed by
family, neighbours and guests.
Julie was predeceased by her husband, Henry Robert Collett,
and her 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
The family thanks the staff at the Pines for always treating
Julie with tender loving care during her last five years.
There will be no service at her request. Contributions to the
Cranbrook • Kimberley Hospice Society, #230, 20 - 23rd
