May 4, 1958 - Nov 2, 2017
Stan John Muglich

It is with profound sorrow that the family of Stan Muglich announces his passing on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in Cranbrook, BC at 59 years of age.

Stan was born on May 4th, 1958 in Chilliwack, BC. He moved to Cranbrook in 1975 from Surrey, BC. Stan met his wife Noreen in November 1978 and they married on October 6th, 1979. Their one and only son Gary was born on October 11th, 1981.

Stan's day job was as a heavy equipment operator for 40 plus years. He was quite the handyman though and there wasn't much he couldn't do. His main passion though was the outdoors, hunting and fishing. Stan quickly learned to navigate his way around the backcountry area of Cranbrook and became very knowledgeable of how to get almost anywhere. One of his favorite things to do was to take anybody who was interested and show them around the area.

He had many other hobbies over the years as well including painting, woodworking, welding and tattooing. He was very artistic. Stan had ridden a few different motorcycles over the years but he got his first Harley in 2007 and he found his new passion. Harley is a way of life and no one demonstrated this as much as Stan. He would ride his bike everywhere, either on his own or with his wife Noreen. Soon after riding he met some of his best friends who shared in this passion. You could say they formed a bike gang. They took many trips but none were probably greater than the trip to Yellowstone National Park.

Stan was a very kind man who had a heart of gold and would go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. Most people described him as a "Big Teddy Bear". He will be deeply missed by his wife, son, siblings and everyone who had a chance to get to know him.

Stan is survived by his loving wife Noreen; his son Gary; his brother Kevin (Kristina) and Kevin's daughters Nicole and Kristina and Kristina's daughter Jalynn; his sister Janice (Cam) and his brother Stewart (Sepideh) and their sons Darius and Shervin.

He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Helen.

A memorial service for Stan will be held at McPherson Funeral Home in Cranbrook on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 pm.

Memorial Donations can be made to the Salvation Army in Stan's name if people so choose.
