Wilfred Martine "Buzz"
July 19, 1939 - October 3, 2017
It is with great sorrow that the family of Buzz Martine announces his passing on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook with his family by his side.
Buzz was born to Ben and Eva Martine in Sturgis, SK on July 19, 1939. The family moved to the Kootenay's when Buzz was around 10 years of age, living in logging camps for a few years.
As Buzz grew up he worked for Taggert's Guiding and logging for Campbell's. In 1972 he moved to Cranbrook to work for Fiorentino building logging roads around the Kootenays for 32 years.
Buzz was an avid skier, snowmobile racer, team roper and later in life the ATV took over his spare time.
Buzz leaves to mourn his wife Roberta, his son Rob and daughters Donna (Rus) and Bev (Frank), several grandkids, his brother Fred, his sister Marie and many, many friends.
Buzz was predeceased by his parents Eva and Ben Martine, his sister Linda, his brother Jim and two step-daughters Sheila and Darris.
There will be no celebration of life by request.
