Saturday, March 2, marked the end of one era and the beginning of a new one. Heidi's Restaurant on Ninth Avenue in Cranbrook held its final dinner service before closing down for renovations. The well-known establishment will be reborn as a restaurant/brewhouse, under a new, yet-to-be determined name. Restaurateur Heidi Romich says the renovations will begin immediately and that a complete rethink is being applied to the restaurant's new design.
