Kimberley's Jackrabbit program was among those receiving Winter Games Legacy grants.

Each year, the Kimberley and District Community Foundation disburses grants to local sports organizations.

The funds come from the Winter Games Legacy Fund, which the Community Foundation manages.

Sports organizations apply for funds and explain what the money will be used for. On Wednesday, March 15, the Kimberley Community Foundation held a brief reception to hand out the cheques.

Eight different Kimberley sport clubs benefited from this year’s grants.

Kimberley & District Community Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors representing a broad cross-section of our community.

The area the Foundation serves is defined by the boundary of former School District #3. It includes St. Mary’s Lake, Wycliffe, Meadowbrook, Ta Ta Creek, Wasa and Skookumchuk as well as the City of Kimberley.
