Kimberley Farmers’ Market returns Thursday, June 15

The Kimberley Farmers’ Market is back on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Hosted by Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook the popular Thursday evening event draws hundreds to Howard Street every week through the summer, to enjoy locally grown produce, food, drinks, handmade art and live music.

Most of your favourite vendors are returning, but there is always room for more, as well as more volunteers. It’s a great way to get to know your community.

Wildsight welcomes applications from vendors of locally grown, backed, made or wild-crafted projects. The market was born in 2014 out of the need for access to locally grown food.

In order to strengthen and support local food production, vendors offering produce and value-added food products will be given first priority at the market. The remaining stalls will be allocated to vendors of crafts, art, health and beauty products, etc.

Wildsight will also make some non-profit/community booth stalls available for organization wishing to provide information about their work and passively solicit volunteers or donations.

This year’s Farmers’ Market coordinator is Alannah Leach and you can reach her at kimberleyfarmersmarket@wildsight.ca or 250-427-5802.
