Kimberley-based travel writer Gerry Feehan will be giving a presentation at the Kimberley Public Library on Friday, June 16 at 3 p.m.

The Kimberley Bulletin first wrote about Feehan in in June 2021, after he won a first place award in the Best People Photograph category at the Travel Media Association of Canada’s annual National conference.

In Friday’s presentation, entitled Yukon or Bust, Feehan will discuss his trip to “the land of the midnight sun,” the Yukon which is located 2900 kilometres from Kimberley.

The adventure began in Dawson Creek, B.C. at the start of the Alaska Highway. Feehan’s trip included taking a day trip around Nahanni National Park in a float plane, exploring Dawson City, Yk. the Klondike and the Arctic Circle. He also took a ski-equipped plane for a day trip into the heart of the St. Elias Mountains, Kaskawulsh Glacier and Mount Logan Base Camp.

The event is free entry and you are able to pre-register to secure your spot.
