The Kimberley Heritage Museum celebrates the Platzl’s 50th anniversary

Kimberley is well known for its downtown pedestrian Platzl. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Platzl and the Kimberley Heritage Museum is celebrating with an exhibit that will run until the Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Kimberley is well known for its downtown pedestrian Platzl. This year is the 50th anniversary of the Platzl and the Kimberley Heritage Museum is celebrating with an exhibit that will run until the Thanksgiving weekend in October.

Marie Stang from the museum says the exhibit covers the history of how the Platzl came to be, starting with discussions in 1968 of the downtown and following through to the Bavarian theme.
