La Cafamore, the classical music ensemble based in Rossland, returns to Kimberley for the third time in as many years for a concert at Centre 64 next Wednesday, July 25. This, however, will be a concert with a difference in that it will feature internationally acclaimed modern dancer and choreographer, Paige Culley. Accompanied by violin, piano and harpsichord she will present a modern dance interpretation of the music of two of Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons’ and two of Phillip Glass’ ‘American Four Seasons’. She will be accompanied by Carolyn Cameron on violin and Nina Horvath on piano and harpsichord. Carolyn Cameron is the founder of La Cafamore and has performed in Kimberley and Cranbrook on several occasions in the past in concert with other regional musicians.
Wednesday night’s performance at Studio 64 commences at 8 p.m. (doors open at 7.30 p.m.) and will be intimately staged with cabaret seating at tables close to the musicians and dancer. There will be an intermission and a no-host wine bar will be available.
Tickets are $20 adults, $10 children and youth under 19, obtainable at Centre 64 (250-427-45919 or email@example.com).
