Cranbrook Community Theatre

CCT is celebrating 60 years this year and has now announced what’s coming up for the 2024-25 season. The theme is Honouring our Past: Celebrating our Future.

Each production for this season has been previously produced by CCT over its 60-year lifespan but will be re-imagined by the directors to bring the production into modern times.

Their theatre season will open October 4th and run to Oct.19th with the musical Pippin written by Bob Fosse and Roger O. Hinson, and directed by first-time CCT director, Sanjay Fisk. Pippin is the perfect show to open the season as it was also the very first show produced in the Stage Door.

The mid-winter presentation will consist of two ‘One-Act’ plays. The Real Inspector Hound by Tom Stoppard will be directed by another first-time director, Kyle Stooshnov and followed by The Man in the Bowler Hat directed by long time CCT veteran, Bob McCue. Each performance from February 21st to March 8th, 2025, will consist of both shows.

CCT’s spring production will run April 25th to May 10th, 2025, with The Cemetery Club, a popular play written by Ivan Menchell to be directed by Patrick Baranowski. Baranowski will be remembered for his directorial debut of last season’s comedy, Don’t Dress for Dinner.

CCT will also present a staged reading of A Christmas Carol, adapted for the stage by Trevor Lunday.

AUDITIONS for all four productions will take place June 4th from 6pm to 9pm, June 6th from 6pm to 9pm and June 8th from 12pm to 4pm at the Studio Stage Door, 11 11th Avenue S. Cranbrook. Fifteen-minute audition slots are available for the June 4th and 8th dates by

emailing trevor.lundy@hotmail.com . If you cannot make a specific audition time, the June 6th audition date will be a general call.
