Santa at KAR

Santa and his friendly Elf are making a stop at Kimberley Alpine Resort to say HELLO and spread holiday cheer to all the skiers and snowboarders!

Santa can be found out on the slopes making some turns and around the base area through out the day so be sure to wave a hello… and he just may have a little treat for you!

Time: 12-3pm

Santa’s Balloon Parade at KAR

Santa and his Elf will lead you down the T-BAR in Santa’s Balloon Parade! Please meet at the Kidz Tent in the KAR Plaza at 1:45pm to get your balloon, give Santa a high five and pose for a group picture. Families encouraged! Skiers and boarders welcome but must be able to turn, stop and ski the T-Bar.

Holiday Night Skiing

Ski under the stars on the longest lit run in North America! Holiday Night Skiing runs Dec 26 – Jan 1st. The Quad Chair will spin from 5:30-8:30pm (please note Dec 31 hours 5:30pm – 8:15pm for Torch Light Parade and NYE Fireworks). Night Skiing will continue every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through March 9th from 5:30-8:30pm.

New Year’s Eve at KAR

New Year’s Eve Fireworks & Party in the Plaza. KAR are celebrating New Year’s Eve with their annual fireworks show and Family Party in the Plaza. Torch Light Parade at 8:50pm, Fireworks 9:00 pm. Come early and enjoy the festivities in the base area starting at 7pm (DJ, fire spinners, night skiing, BBQ, beer gardens, face painting, fire spinners, and more). A very big thank you to Tourism Kimberley for partnering on this event!

New Years Eve Torchlight Ski

Join the Kimberley Nordic Club for a magical 3km Torchlight Ski on New year’s Eve. A small treat will be handed out at the entrance. Admission by donation - all proceeds support the Nordic Racers.

Fisher Peak Fiber Arts Guild

The guild welcomes beginners and those experienced in the fiber arts. They meet at the Cranbrook Senior Citizens’ Centre on the first Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. till noon. Senior’s Day at Cranbrook Legion

Every third Wednesday The Cranbrook Legion Branch #24 hosts ‘Senior’s Day at the Legion’. Join ‘Bud’s Friends’ for an hour of Sing-a-long from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A lunch of great sandwiches and yummy sweet treats is provided and served by the ‘Telus Ambassadors’, Come and join us for an hour of fun and lively singing. If you come with a group you should get there early, (shortly after 1pm) to get a good seat. And it’s free.
