A new program for seniors in Kimberley. (Better at Home)

Summit Community Services will be launching a new program for seniors, ‘Better at Home’.

Funded by the United Way, Better at Home supports the non-medical needs of older adults to allow them to live independently in their own homes.

Rather than replacing the existing Seniors Helping Seniors program, which is funded by Interior Health, Better at Home will provide additional services that the former program does not provide, such as light housekeeping, light yard work, minor home repairs, grocery shopping, prepared meal services, prescription pick up/delivery, and more.

Volunteers for Better at Home are being sought. If you’d like to help out call Summit Community Services at 250-481-4344 or email Betterathome@summit/family.ca.Volunteers can be any age group.
