Karen Louise Jenkins (nee Skands), born in Grand Forks, BC on November 3rd, 1955 passed away on October 10th, 2021 in Kelowna, BC after a short battle with cancer.
Karen, the only child of Einar and Emily Skands, grew up in Christina Lake, BC. She married her beloved husband Chris in May of 1975 and they went on to have two sons, first living in Kimberley, BC, and then in Wasa, BC.
In her final days, Karen was surrounded by her closest family and loved ones, who so beautifully and tenderly saw her into the next world. Her husband and her two sons were at her side at her final moment.
Karen is greatly missed by all who knew her, especially her husband Chris, her sons Kevin (Cassie) and Trevor, grandsons Nathaniel, Mason and Jaxson, close friends Diane and Deb, and especially close cousins Gloria, Joan, Les and John.
A celebration of her life will take place on August 6th, 2022 at 1:30pm at the Christina Lake Hall.
