A year of growth, celebration and community spirit.

As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on a year filled with growth, celebration, and community spirit. From honouring local businesses to embracing fun traditions, we are proud of all we’ve accomplished together.

Business Excellence Awards:

We started the year by celebrating the entrepreneurs who drive our community forward at the Business Excellence Awards. The evening showcased the dedication, innovation, and resilience of businesses across Kimberley, reminding us of the strength of our local economy.

Restoring the Cuckoo Clock & Giving Happy Hans a Fresh Coat of Paint:

In our efforts to preserve Kimberley’s charm, we restored the iconic Cuckoo Clock, giving it a fresh new look. We also refreshed Happy Hans with a coat of paint, ensuring he continues to greet visitors with a smile in the Platzl.

July Fest & Bocce Fun:

At this year’s July Fest, we enjoyed a friendly competition with our bocce tournament, bringing locals and visitors together for fun and entertainment. July Fest remains one of Kimberley’s signature events, and we’re excited to see it continue with Events from Myrtle Mountain.

Kimberley Municipal All-Candidates Forum:

In September, the Kimberley Chamber of Commerce supported the municipal by-election by hosting a question and answer session with local councillor candidates. This event helped residents to understand the priorities and perspectives of the seven candidates and we were glad to play a role in this important process.

Ongoing Support for Local Businesses:

In 2024, our commitment to local businesses remained at the core of everything we do. From networking and advocacy to workshops and promotions, we strive to create opportunities for businesses to thrive and make Kimberley a great place to live and work.

Kimberley Business Survey:

Conducted in late November, the Chamber surveyed local businesses to understand the needs and health of the business community. These results will be important in guiding local policy and understanding where to focus resources in the coming year. We look forward to sharing these results soon!

Platzl Light Up & Wrapping Up the Year:

We wrapped up the year with the ever-popular Platzl Light Up, which brought festive lights, Santa, Happy Hans, and even the Grinch to the Platzl. It was a beautiful reminder of the warmth and connection that make our community special.

Looking Ahead to 2025:

As we reflect on the successes of 2024, we’re excited for what 2025 holds. The Chamber remains committed to supporting local businesses and enhancing our community experiences. Here’s to making 2025 even better!

Thank you to all who helped make 2024 memorable. Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant Kimberley.

Sincerely,

The Kimberley & District Chamber of Commerce
