The Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG) will once again gather in Kimberley this summer for the sixth-annual Western Canada IMRG Celebration (WCIC).
The group was last in Kimberley in July, 2024, and over the past three years they have raised over $20,000 for local charities, raising a record $12,000 last year alone.
“This celebration is about more than motorcycles—it’s about making a difference,” said Paul Simpson, President of IMRG Chapter 1908. “We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished and excited to keep building on that momentum.”
Last year the group raised money for the Cranbrook Legion, to support the vital work they do for local veterans and their families, and the Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society who help rescue and re-home animals in the East Kootenay.
This year's celebration, which is set for July 16 to 19, will bring together riders with "a shared commitment to scenic rides, community connection, and giving back."
The IMRG will be doing scheduled rides and social events, and then the public is invited to their Show and Shine in the Platzl on Saturday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests can vote on their favourite motorcycle and local Indian Motorcycle riders are encouraged to participate.
