The Cranbrook and Kimberley Hospice Society will host a free Advance Care Planning Workshop in the Kimberley Public Library's upstairs Reading Room on Monday, May 20 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“We are excited to present the Advance Care Planning Workshop at the Kimberley Public Library,” said Hospice Society volunteer Marla Taylor. “Every participant will receive a comprehensive Interior Health Workbook to keep. It’s a great tool to help with conversations and start planning right away.”
Taylor will be at the free drop-in session to guide participants through the steps of creating an Advance Care Plan.
The session is open to every one and will serve as an opportunity to start thinking about and discussing the health care plan for your future.
Library staff said Advance Care Planning: "...helps you reflect on your values and communicate them to your loved ones and health care provider — ensuring your voice is heard, even if you can't speak for yourself."
The Hospice Society offers regular public sessions in order to support people as they prepare for end-of-life medical care decisions.
No advanced registration is required for this free informative session, don't miss out on a chance to learn more about taking these important steps for yourself and your loved ones.
