This past Sunday, the Kimberley Trail Society celebrated the official opening of the Spicy Kitty Trail at Bootleg Mountain.
Shouting out their Gold Sponsors Lifetime Outdoors, who generously built the trail as a donation, KTS said their crew had a "blast supporting them, clearing the trail corridor and adding those epic wooden features you'll love riding."
Spicy Kitty is a 2.3 kilometre downhill trail on Bootleg Mountain, built with beginners and family riders in mind, as well as those warming up for more advanced runs. The trail has a smooth and consistent seven per cent descent on a four-foot-wide path and features gentle berms, rollers and optional wooden features to help with skill progression.
It is a green-level trail that runs through a scenic forest landscape and provides an accessible, enjoyable ride for all ages and abilities.
"Get out there and experience this fresh new addition to Bootleg Mountain," KTS said. "Keep those tires spinning, and let us know what you think of Spicy Kitty."
