The Mark Creek Lions held their annual Marysville Daze festival on Saturday, June 7 and, as always, it was a tremendous success.
Families flocked to Lions Park at the corner of 303 Street and 308 Avenue in Marysville bright and early, with the classic pancake breakfast firing up at 8 a.m. and the thriving vendors market starting at 9 a.m.
Musical performances for the day included the Kimberley Pipe Band and the Kimberley Community Band, who have some upcoming concerts on Thursdays in July in the Platzl.
The family-focused festival had a ton of activities for the kids, including a giant bouncy castle, games and face painting. There was also a beer gardens for the adults, courtesy of Marysville Pub.
Ball players braved the heat for the annual baseball tournament, which was a big hit.
The festival highlights the important presence the Mark Creek Lions have in the community, while also serving as a major annual fundraiser for their organization.
