RCMP seek suspect who tried lighting fireworks under vehicle

A resident of Kimberley's Lower Blarchmont neighbourhood awoke to someone attempting to light fireworks under their vehicle.

The Kimberley RCMP are asking the public for assistance after they were alerted that someone had tried lighting firework's under a resident's vehicle. 

In the early hours of Friday, Dec. 6, a resident in Lower Blarchmont woke up to a suspect attempting to ignite fireworks they'd put under the resident's vehicle. 

The RCMP are now asking the public to be aware of this situation and are asking for assistance in identifying the vehicle, which was described as an older model red, Toyota Camry-style sedan. 

If anyone has video surveillance in that area, they are asked to check to see if the described vehicle appears in it from the morning of Dec. 6. 

The RCMP ask the public to report any suspicious activity to the detachment at 250-427-4811
