Kimberley Nordic Club completes major trail project

Landsem trail widened to accommodate new ski playground features.

The Kimberley Nordic Club (KNC) has announced the completion of new trail features on the Landsem trail, made possible in large part to money raised at the annual club fundraiser.

The trail was widened at its base to allow for new ski playground features.

"As skiers descend Landsem towards Iker's Landing, there will now be two exciting options to choose from," the club said.

"The original trail remains on the left, but on the right we have built new, permanent roller coaster dips. These dips will be groomed regularly and will be great for skill progression as skiers descend over rolling terrain into Iker's. If you go fast enough, you just might be able to catch some air."

Aski playground is a a designated location which has been developed or set up to assist children and adults to learn to ski naturally, and which provides a variety of skiing discoveries. They are both fun to use and offer excellent exposure to various terrain features."

"Thank you to everyone who donated towards the annual club fundraiser, we can't wait to ski these new features this winter!"
