The fifth-annual Women 4 Women Funspiel is set for Saturday, Nov. 30 at the Kimberley Curling Club.

This fantastic local fundraiser donates a portion of all entry fees, plus all extra donations and proceeds to the Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank and the Cranbrook Women's Shelter.

Last year alone the event raised $472.50 for the Food Bank and $374.50 for the Women's Centre. Participants also donated a generous amount of feminine hygiene products that went to the Food Bank to help keep their shelves stocked for women in need.

The cost to enter is $50, including taxes, per person, and includes two six-end games and a delicious lunch courtesy of Mountain Grass Bistro.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. with the first game kicking off at 10 a.m. until noon. The second game goes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with wrap-up from 4 p.m. 5 p.m.

Individuals and team registrations will be accepted and it is preferred that registrants have curled at least once.

There is space for 48 participants and over 30 have already been filled, so make sure to register soon.

To sign up, visit go to curlkimberley.ca/events or kimberley.curling.io/en/competitions

If you would like to make a monetary donation or would like to donate a certificate that will be raffled to raise more money for the two causes, please contact Wendy Jarvis at wvhum@hotmail.com
