On Monday, July 9, 2019 the City of Kimberley reported a 0.15 hectare wildfire at the Taylors Mill Landing Site, East of the City Core.
As of Monday night, Fire Cheif Rick Prasad says the fire is 50 per cent contained, with sprinkler systems in place over night.
On Tuesday morning, fire crews have returned to the site with heavy equipment. BC Wildfire service will also be on scene.
A press release says the cause is believed to be a lightning strike.
