A 24-year old Meadowbrook resident was arrested last Friday evening, and after appearing before a Justice of the Peace has been released on conditions, including an order to stay out of Kimberley proper.
Cpl. Chris Newel of the Kimberley RCMP Detachment says the man was arrested after a lengthy investigation. At the time of the arrest 18 one-gram baggies of cocaine were seized. Newel says this is a significant amount since cocaine is typically sold in one or one half gram quantities.
The subject, whose name has not been released pending his first court appearance on June 17, was released on $500 bail with conditions including the no go order for the City of Kimberley, a 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew and no possession of cell phones or weapons.
He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking.
