Last Saturday, May 31st an incredible concert took place at Centre 64 for a sell out crowd.
Juno Award winning, Kenny “ Blues Boss” Wayne on piano and vocals, kept the audience well entertained with great “boogie woogie” and blues music. He was accompanied by his sidemen, Stephan on bass and Mike on drums, virtuosic musicians in their own right.
Kenny punctuated his original tunes and some old favorites with his fascinating and nostalgic story telling. He provided some new incite into the origins of familiar numbers such as “Blueberry Hill” and “Kansas City”.
With everyone on their feet and dancing in the aisles, Kenny closed the program with a chorus that asked “4, 6, 8, 10 - do you want us back again?” The question was met with a resounding “YES” by a enthusiastic and appreciative audience.
