RCMP in Kelowna recovered over $100,000 in stolen property on Tuesday, June 12, including a car stolen from a residence in Kimberley.

The Kelowna RCMP Target Team executed a search warrant at a property in Beaverdell, just east of Kelowna, and located four stolen bikes. The bikes were related to a theft reported last week, where a truck and trailer of bicycles belonging to Myra Canyon Bike Rentals were taken.

While searching the same property, officers also located a Jeep Patriot taken from Kimberley, and a Volkswagen Jetta stolen from Kelowna.

Officers then visited a second related location near Big White and found the stolen F350 and flat deck trailer loaded with 41 bicycles belonging to Myra Canyon Bike Rentals.

“The Kelowna RCMP Target team were able to identify a residence and execute a search warrant at the property,” said Cst. Lesley Smith of the Kelowna RCMP Detachment “This investigation led to the recovery of over $100,000 in stolen property and the arrest of multiple well known criminals.”

Six men and one woman were arrested at the scene. One of the males arrested on the property remains in police custody as he had an outstanding warrant for an unrelated matter.
