CBT funding for Kimberley projects

Kimberley Council approves allocation of CBT funding

Kimberley City Council has approved the 2014-2015 funding allocations from the Columbia Basin Trust, clearing the way for local organizations to received funds.

$90,414.64 in funding for Kimberley and area projects were approved for funding. They are:

BC SPCA for shelter upgrades $4,053.65

Columbia Basin Alliance for Literacy - Kimberley Early Childhood Development Team - $6,571.44

Community Connections - Over the Rainbow Family Services, Breastfeeding Mamas - $1,251.01; and East Kootenay Child Care Needs Assessment Phase I - $588.11

East Kootenay PARTY program - $1,854.77

Health Arts Society - Concerts in Care - $154.77

Kimberley Arts Council Centre 64, First Saturdays - $3,238.11; and Kimberley Art Walk 2013 - $1,21.44

Kimberley Health Care Auxiliary - roof replacement - thrift shop - $11,904.77

Kimberly Nature Park Society - kiosk and signage upgrade -$204.77

Kimberley Pipe Band Society - history book of pipe band - $1,238.11

Kimberley Seniors Project Society - greenhouse - $2,488.11

Kimberley Soccer Association - Purcell Park washrooms - $9,071.44

Kimberley Trails Society - trail construction - $3,988.11

North Star Rails to Trails Society - vegetation management and slope remediation - $9,988.11

Sullivan Mine and Railway Historical Society - track upgrade - $8,821.44

Summit Community Services - Seniors wellness outreach - $13,0-12.10

Symphony of the Kootenays - concert support - $404.77

Wildsight Kimberley/Cranbrook - food sustainability - $2,407.21; and Green Building Demo project planning - $321.44
