City of Kimberley and CAO part ways

Chief Financial Officer Holly Ronnquist to act as interim CAO

The City of Kimberley has issued a brief press release announcing that Chief Administrative Officer Al Mulholland is no longer in the employ of the City.

The press release states:

“The City writes this communication to advise that Mr. Al Mulholland is no longer employed with the City.

“We thank him for his service to the City and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Mayor Ron McRae.

The City is searching for a new CAO and in the meantime, Chief Financial Officer Holly Ronnquist will fill the role as acting CAO.

The City expects to find a permanent replacement within three or four months.

Mulholland arrived in Kimberley in April  of 2010 during the administration of former Mayor Jim Ogilvie.

He came to Kimberley from the Sunshine Coast where he spent 10 years as executive director of Community Futures of the Sunshine Coast.

Prior to that, Mulholland spent many years in executive management positions, including as Deputy Minister in the Government of Saskatchewan from 1976 to 1986.
