City of Kimberley has begun construction on Jim Ogilvie Way

The city of Kimberley has begun the reconstruction of Jim Ogilvie Way from Highway 95A up to the Trails to Trails crossing in Marysville. The project will replace aging underground infrastructure and enhance the quality of the road surface

The city of Kimberley has begun the reconstruction of Jim Ogilvie Way from Highway 95A up to the Trails to Trails crossing in Marysville. The project will replace aging underground infrastructure and enhance the quality of the road surface

Removal of existing asphalt is underway.

Thee will be disruptions to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic and Jim Ogilvie Way will be closed to through traffic for the majority of the project. Residents are asked to follow all construction signage and directions provided by works on the site.

• Full road closures are planned along the corridor.

• Access to properties will be maintained

• Access to the Transfer Station is available via the Rotary Drive entrance to Jim Ogilvie Way.

• Limited parking will be available at the Marysville Arena.

• Purcell Park will remain open for public use.

• The paved multi-use path, running from the Marysville Arena to 313th Drive, is currently open but is subject to change as construction progresses.

• Construction is planned to be completed in the fall.

Parking at Purcell Park may be affected at times, but the soccer park will remain open.
