COTR hosts one-stop registration event in Kimberley

Sign up for fall activities and sports at one convenient location

Early September is a busy time. Along with school starting, it’s time to sign up for all the activities and sports you and your children will be involved with this fall and winter. The Kimberley campus of the College of the Rockies will assist with making the sign up a little easier by offering a one-stop registration event for families on Saturday, September 7, 2013.

Sponsored by the College and Columbia Basin Trust, the event is a convenient way for local families to register themselves or their children for activities, clubs or educational opportunities for the fall, all at the same time at the Kimberley Campus.

Groups such as Kimberley Girl Guides, Speed Skating, Kimberley Curling Club, Kootenay Orienteering,    Kimberley Gymnastics, Kimberley Scouting, Figure Skating Club and the Kimberley Arts Council, as well as other groups will be there with information about their programs.

“This second annual Community Registration Day is a perfect fit with the City of Kimberley’s First Saturdays festivities and coincides nicely with September’s ‘Community’ theme,” said College of the Rockies Auxiliary Assistant Josh Lockhart. “There has been a lot of enthusiasm for the event so far. We have many businesses and groups signed up and are seeing new ones coming on board every day. If there are community organizations that have not been contacted but would like to participate they can contact me to get signed up.”

For more information on the Kimberley Community Fall Registration Days or to sign up as a participating organization, contact Josh Lockhart at (250) 427-7116 ext. 3752 or email: jlockhart@cotr.bc.ca
