Cranbrook RCMP apprehend woman for Dangerous Driving.

The driver attempted to flee and purposely collided with two police vehicles in the process.

Cranbrook RCMP responded to a complaint in which a female was reported to have committed as assault at the Cranbrook Addictions Services Society.

Prior to police arrival, the female fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was located a short distance away and Cranbrook RCMP members attempted to stop the vehicle with emergency equipment activated. The driver attempted to flee and purposely collided with two police vehicles in the process.

Despite the attempts to avoid capture, the female driver was taken into police custody without further incident. She is currently in custody awaiting an appearance in court for charges of Assault, Cause Disturbance and Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle. There were no injuries to any of the officers or the female driver and damage to the vehicles was minor.
