At approximately 6:30p.m. last night Kimberley RCMP responded to an accident at the bottom of Townsite Hill at the corner of 4 Ave and Wallinger Ave.

Sgt. Newel of the Kimberley RCMP says that the driver took the hairpin corner too wide, striking the embankment causing the vehicle to roll.

“He was taken to East Kootenay Regional Hospital to be checked out,” explained Newel. “Injuries believed to be minor.”
