Election info: voting by mail in City of Kimberley

City of Kimberley: you can still vote if you are going to be away November 15

KIMBERLEY, BC – If you plan to be travelling and away for the local general election scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2014 and for the two advanced voting dates of Wednesday,

November 5th and Wednesday, November 12th, you may want to request a Mail-Ballot from the Chief Election Officer. Qualified electors may vote by mail if they:

• have a physical disability, illness or injury that affects their ability to vote at another voting opportunity, OR

• expect to be absent from the City of Kimberley on general voting day and at the times of all advance voting opportunities.

The City of Kimberley will send out mail ballot packages commencing on or about October 27, 2014. Deadline for Mail-Ballot request is Wednesday, November 12th at 1:00  .m. To be counted, your mail ballot must be received by the Chief Election Officer no later than 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014.
