Fire activity picking up as thunderstorms roll through Southeast Fire Centre

The Southeast Fire Centre is reporting increased activity as the heat wave continues and a cell of thunderstorms moved through the region last night.

The Fire Service is responding to 13 lightning caused fires in the Arrow, Boundary, Columbia, Cranbrook and Invermere zones as of Saturday night.
