The Kimberley Fire Department was called to the scene of a car fire early Monday morning. Fire Chief Al Collinson said firefighters received the call at about 4:30 a.m. The car fire at 914 Ben Keer Drive also involved a structure — the garage — because the car was so close. The garage sustained heavy damage, including its contents. Three fire engines and 22 firefighters were involved. There were no injuries to the occupants at the home nor to any firefighters. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
