“It was surprising to see Christy Clark attempting to borrow ideas from the BC NDP, particularly our promise to eliminate MSP premiums, a commitment that has seen widespread support.

“And it is ironic that the BC Liberals who have doubled MSP under Premier Christy Clark are now promising to return fees to their original level. But those reductions are only for some people, and only at some time in the future. That’s not good enough.

“We’ve heard big promises from Christy Clark in the past, like hundreds of thousands of LNG jobs and no provincial debt. With Christy Clark as Premier, we’ve actually seen provincial debt increase and LNG has been a total bust.

“People in Kimberley saw through Christy Clark’s election promises in 2013 and I believe they’ll see through them now. People here see Christy Clark for who she really is: someone who only cares about her rich friends.

“The BC Liberals are claiming to have another balanced budget, but I have to ask this question: Is it really a balanced budget when the average British Columbia has a lower quality of living and the most vulnerable in our society are not being properly cared for? I think we’ll find that most people in this area will say a resounding no.”
