The Kimberley Helping Hands Food Bank invites you to grow a bucket of potatoes.

Always looking for new ways to raise funds to feed Kimberley’s food insecure, the Food Bank is sponsoring a contest to see who can grow the heaviest load of potatoes from one seed potato in a bucket.

All you have to do is done $10 to pick up your pail and seed potato at either Bavarian Home Hardware in the Platzl or Top Crop in Lower Blarchmont before June 3.

Grow your potato right in the bucket and bring your crop to the weigh in at Open Gate Harvest Garden on Rotary Drive on Sunday, September 23 at 2 p.m.

There will be prizes for the heaviest load of potatoes, the largest number and the most interesting shape.
