Kimberley Lions need your help

Lions tree lighting slowly this holiday season in Kimberley

The big fir tree holding the Lions Christmas lights survived the snow last week, though some of  the branches are bending to the ground.

Each year, the Mark Creek Lions light up a string of lights on the tree on Church Street every time $100 is raised for the Children’s Emergency Fund. That fund assists families that must travel out of town for their children’s medical needs.

The strings are lighting slowly this year; thus far only four strings have been paid for.

Donation cans for the Lions Tree are available at local stores all over town. If you haven’t seen a can, you can contact Dave Sanderson at 427-4314 or Larry Armstrong at 250-427-5612.
