At the World Cup Masters Cross Country Ski competition in Asiago Italy, the Kimberley Nordic Club was well represented. There were four competitors from KNC. Greg Andrews, Delia Christianson, Frank Ackerman and Derm Kennedy. The event was held from Feb. 16th to the 22nd. The ski conditions were excellent with snow accumulating over several days. The organizers did a great job to accommodate nearly 1200 athletes from 57 countries as well as coaches and support personnel. There were 95 Canadians competing in total with a good representation from B.C. The ski venue was on a plateau at over 1000 meters that afforded wonderfull views of the area. Both Delia and Frank were chosen to represent Canada in the relay event and each of them helped to win medals in their race....Delia with a silver in the 4 by 5 km. relay and Frank with a silver in the 4 by 5 km. relay.
