Kimberley RCMP want to speak to this man in connection with credit card fraud.

Kimberley RCMP are looking for a man who used a stolen credit card to purchase gift cards at the Kimberley Shoppers Drug Mart back in February.

Cpl. Chris Newel of the Kimberley Detachment says that on February 28, 2013 an unknown man purchased $1000 in Visa gift cards at the Kimberley store. Some time later it was determined the card was stolen.

Having become aware that the card was stolen, video from that day in February was searched and a suspect has emerged (see photo right).

Newel says it apparently took some time for the credit card company to notify Shoppers that the card was stolen, and that’s why the picture is only available now.

“It was an American Express Card and from reading the file, it appears that’s how long it took Amex to notify Shoppers,” Newel said. “I’m not sure if’s the logistics or the card owner that caused the delay.”

However, delay or not, police are asking that people take a look at the picture and see if the man can be identified.

If you recognize this individual, please call the Kimbelrey RCMP at 240-427-4811.
