The Kimberley RCMP detachment recently made two stops of vehicles for excessive speed on Highway 95A south of Marysville.

The first driver was stopped on June 14 for travelling at 196 kilometres per hour, the other, stopped on June 17, was going 152 kilometres an hour. Both drivers were travelling at those speeds in a 100-kilometre-per-hour zone.

"The Kimberley RCMP reminds drivers to slow down and that enforcement will continue in the areas that high risk driving is reported," said Sgt. Steve Woodcox in a June 18 press release.

The drivers were aged 18 and 85 and were each issued Violation Tickets and had their vehicles impounded for seven days.
