Despite frigid temperatures, Kimberley residents turned out by the hundreds for Remembrance Day ceremonies Tuesday.

Kimberley RCMP members marched in uniform in the parade but were also present in the crowd as a heightened security measure. Sgt. Dale Robinson told Council Monday evening that every RCMP detachment in British Columbia had been ordered to develop a plan for Remembrance Day.

"There are no viable threats," Sgt. Robinson said. "But we do have everything covered."

The ceremony was peaceful, and moving, as always.
