A Kimberley resident is warning of an apparent telephone scam that he thinks may be aimed at the senior population.

At approximately 5p.m. on Monday night, and again at 5:15, the resident received phone calls to his home phone stating that there was an issue with his credit card, and he would need to provide his credit card information.

He added that the alleged scammers are saying they are from both the Kimberley Health Care Centre and Kimberley Save On Foods.

“It looks so legitimate, Save On Foods showed up on my call display, but no phone number was listed,” said the resident, who explained that a no name number also called early this morning, but as soon as he answered, he hung up as it was the same message as the previous evening.
